NEW MUSIC
“On & On” was recorded in 2020, during a time when everything in our lives came to a standstill. The record reflects introspection, as we look at ourselves in the mirror, confronting hard truths we might otherwise avoid. Recognizing that embracing the truth leads to freedom, and that self-love is the most powerful form of love.
TOP TRACKS
“Breaking My Heart" is a story of how love can be blind. The superstition around dreams and the desire to understand their meaning lead to going through troubles and traveling great lengths. Ultimately, one discovers that the gut feeling they wanted to be wrong about was, in fact, right.

AUTOBIO
The 22 years old R&B star was born and raised in Mount Dora Florida. Sovia started singing at the age of four. she vividly remembers being in pre-school with her classmates sitting around in a circle. Her teacher asked the class the infamous question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Without hesitation and like the snap of a finger Sovia answered, “A singer”.
The first song she learned to sing was “Fallin” by Alicia Keys. Sovia grew up in a Haitian household were she was introduced to the 3 L’s routine: l’église, lekòl, and lakay; Which means Church, School, and Home. Sovia was very involved in the Church choir. She played the French horn and bass guitar. In 6th grade, she wrote her first song about a boy who liked her. Sovia musical influences came from watching the rise of Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé, Usher, Chris Brown, Kevin Cossom, Ciara, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, India Arie, and Alan Cavé.
As the youngest of Four girls in a single-parent household, she saw how hard my mother worked. “Watching the struggles my mom went through as an uneducated immigrant to take care of four children made me strong.” Sovia credits her mother for the person she is today. “For me, it’s more than just Music. It’s a way to feel my emotions. It’s a way to hear my emotions.” Sovia noted that her favorite part of creating is performing. Being raised in a Haitian household opened her palate to infinite possibilities of music that she can create and fuse it with modern music today.
“What I want people to take from listening to my music or just being a supporter of mine is to be yourself. Originality is key and no one can be you better than you.” - Sovia
