Griff2thguap released his single “Updated” in 2021 when he first stepped on the music scene. We had a chance to speak with the Hamden Native about his Music and he had this to say. “I was just trying to make a catchy song and it ended up becoming one the most relatable I’ve written to date. I was in a state where I felt like I couldn’t trust the initial impression people like to push off to the public, because the truth is, no one’s perfect. So, what better way to show, how we portray ourselves than by using social media “.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY
“I was born in New Haven and raised in Hamden. Grew up with two hardworking parents, and one older brother. I Grew up playing sports like basketball, football, and baseball. I went to school in New Haven up until college. I ended up attending CCSU up until my senior, and I took a hiatus from school. In. this period is when I started to find interest, joy, and therapeutic relief when I got into songwriting. Months after I wrote my first single “$$$/hr” and would show friends all in fun. Their reactions motivated me to take it more seriously and drop the single which later turn the heads of many locals and was even featured on Hot 93.7, catching the attention of CT’s infamous DJ Meechie. I aspire one day to perform in front of sold-out stadiums and connect with his artist on a personal level.”
