Singer/Songwriter Corey Mekell hails from Atlanta, GA, now residing here in Los Angles where he's garnered millions of views via YouTube and his works have been captured on BET, Vh1, FOX as well as many other social media outlets. The young tyrant is emerging solo on his independent wave catching the ears of not only his peers but gaining new fans and some serious buzz along the way. Since relocating to Los Angeles, the Atlanta, GA / Birmingham, AL native has been on a gradual incline to really make a name for himself. He has worked with the likes of Disney's Raven Symone, sang background for Pop Superstar Jason Derulo, and collaborated with budding Actress/MC Siya. He recently toured with Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Eric Bellinger and is featured alongside the artist on his hit single "IF". In 2017, Corey Mekell had the pleasure of headlining Brit Jam, which is one of Jamaica’s biggest music festivals. In late 2018 doors open wide when he got a call from Neyo. The last several months of Mekell's life have been a roller coaster of tour dates, studio sessions, and performing. In addition to his many talents, Corey has also lent some background vocals on T.I.'s last album as well as writing for rising R&B artist HER. He has also written and recorded vocals for hit artists Neyo, Chris Brown, and Rodney Jerkins, as well as Maeta, Serayah, and Kalan.frfr. He has managed to share his talents with other artists all while working on his debut album, it's safe to say Corey Mekell will be sticking around for a while.
