One of the most critical aspects of being successful as a team is communication and understanding how individual actions affect group priorities. Having regular team meetings is a great way to facilitate this communication. Learning the elements of a good check-in meeting is a great way to grow as a team and make your time inside of the organization more productive. They give directors and members a consistent time and space to build the relationship, balance priorities across projects, share feedback, ask probing questions, and serve as a resource for each other.
